Josh Jacobs is finally getting paid.
The Las Vegas Raiders and the star running back have agreed to terms on a new one-year contract according to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
Jacobs can make up to $12 million this season, but the key is that the deal sets him up to be tagged again next season, which could exceed the $14 million dollar mark.

By boosting the base value of the deal and not just adding incentives, a potential second franchise tag in 2024 becomes more costly, potentially exceeding $14 million.

Overall, the deal seems like a win-win for both sides.
Josh Jacobs gets his money and the Raiders get one of the NFL’s best running backs back for the 2023 season.
