One of the softest “unsportsmanlike conduct” penalties you’ll ever see. In the 3rd quarter against Northwestern, leading 14-3, Purdue LB Jalen Green grabbed an INT with a clear path to the end zone and just happened to lift his feet a little too high in front of him with excitement on the way. He was flagged for “high stepping” and the touchdown was taken off the board. Purdue did not end up scoring.
The play:
Sooo… Purdue had a pick six erased because LB Jalen Graham was high stepping from the 30 yard line and the refs called him for unsportsmanlike conduct ????????
Such a lame call. ???? pic.twitter.com/RG78iUBnQx

The call:
Purdue interception return for a TD taken off the board, for “high stepping”. Coach Prime would be aghast pic.twitter.com/r96shnUta7
